Camp programs

7-Day, 6-Night Mountain Camp

Structured mountain training designed for Thailand by UTMB

  • 1,500–2,500m Chiang Mai trails that mirror the race route
  • ITRA 728 local trail coach throughout
  • Nutrition and recovery programme included

Four pillars of race preparation

1

Course familiarisation

Train on trails that match the race route in gradient, surface and altitude. Arrive on race day knowing exactly what to expect.

2

Vertical gain training

800–1,500m of climbing per day, systematically building the D+ capacity that defines UTMB-style racing.

3

Recovery protocol

Training and recovery in equal measure: structured cool-downs, contrast therapy, and nutrition guidance to sustain high-output days.

4

Small group, high attention

6–10 runners per cohort. Every athlete gets individualised pacing feedback and real-time coaching adjustments.

Strength & Functional Fitness Coach

Trail-running specific strength certification

Purpose-built strength sessions for trail running demands — glute and leg power, ankle stability, and eccentric control for technical descents. A 30-minute activation each morning during camp reduces injury risk and improves power output on climbs.

Sports Nutrition Consultant

Sports nutrition background · endurance fuelling specialist

Nutrition strategy accounts for as much of a 50K finish as training volume. Our consultant builds a daily fuelling plan matched to camp training load — covering pre-race carb loading, on-course supplement timing, and post-effort anti-inflammatory recovery nutrition.
